Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels of prescription drugs and over‑the‑counter supplements.
• Counsel patients on new and additional medications with a friendly, proactive approach.
• Engage in public‑health initiatives such as health days and clinics to educate customers.
• Address patient and physician inquiries promptly and resolve issues efficiently.
• Monitor and control pharmacy costs and support budgeting efforts.
• Provide training and mentorship to pharmacy technicians, interns, students, and IPGs.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a valid Class A Pharmacist licence.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and professional demeanor.
• Leadership and performance‑management abilities.
• Proven experience in community‑based marketing and business development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Healthwatch pharmacy system.
• Experience using the KROLL Pharmacy computer system.
