Pharmacist – Community Pharmacy

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join a network of seven high‑volume community pharmacies in Bermuda. The position emphasizes patient‑focused care, medication safety, and compliance with all pharmacy legislation and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription medications, performing clinical verification for accuracy, therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and prescribing irregularities.
• Provide evidence‑based counseling to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medications, including dosage, administration, side effects, and lifestyle considerations.
• Build strong relationships with customers, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to deliver patient‑centered care.
• Manage dispensary inventory: ordering, rotation, expiry monitoring, and adherence to inventory control procedures.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with pharmacy legislation, professional standards, and best practice guidelines.
• Participate in continuing professional development and maintain licensure.
• Contribute to workflow optimization, quality assurance, and safe dispensing practices.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Chief Pharmacist.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent) and eligibility for registration with the relevant Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting.
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities with a strong commitment to customer and patient service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a detail‑oriented professional approach.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
