Cardiologist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Cardiologist to join WELL Health Diagnostic Centres. The role involves diagnosing, treating, and managing cardiac conditions while collaborating with an interdisciplinary health team.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders.
• Prescribe medication and treatment plans.
• Act as a consultant to other physicians.
• Order laboratory tests, X‑rays and other diagnostic procedures.
• Provide lifestyle awareness information and advise patients on health care.
• Perform cardiac and cardiopulmonary stress tests.
• Interpret medical test results and examine patients.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to plan and evaluate patient care.
• Participate in staff meetings and coordinate care with patients and families.

Required profile

• Degree in medicine with licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification.
• Specialization in Cardiology, including expertise in echocardiography and Holter monitoring.
• Efficient interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; team player.
• Experience in clinical cardiology is an asset.
