Senior Director, Forecasting Excellence

About the role

The Senior Director, Forecasting Excellence will be a pivotal leader in shaping commercial and portfolio decisions for a leading Canadian pharmaceutical organization. Reporting to senior leadership, this role combines deep market insight with rigorous forecasting to support product launches and drive sustainable growth across branded, specialty and generic medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Provide market insights, forecasting expertise and strategic guidance to evaluate new opportunities and support product launches.
• Lead a high‑performing team responsible for forecasting accuracy across marketed and pipeline products.
• Develop and implement frameworks, tools and processes that underpin long‑term portfolio growth and investment decisions.
• Translate complex market dynamics into actionable business recommendations for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in pharmaceutical forecasting, commercial analytics, portfolio management or market insights, with exposure to branded and/or specialty products in Canada.
• Strong understanding of Canadian pricing, reimbursement and market‑access dynamics.
• Proven track record of supporting product launches and leading high‑performing teams.
• Commercially minded leader capable of influencing senior decision‑makers and driving cross‑functional alignment.
