Performance & Restructuring Manager

About the role

PwC's Deals Performance & Restructuring team advises clients on complex financial and operational issues such as cash shortages, liquidity problems, balance sheet stress, shareholder disputes or formal insolvency proceedings. As a Performance & Restructuring Manager in Toronto, you will work in a team of problem solvers, helping clients navigate financial distress and recover from challenging situations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sections of project work with a team of junior staff and solve day-to-day client challenges
• Complete financial or operational analysis and summarise work
• Build or review company forecasts, including short-term cash flows and longer-term three-way models
• Work on independent business reviews for lenders
• Prepare memos or documents for clients and stakeholders such as banks, regulators or creditors
• Manage communications with stakeholder entities and visit client sites during insolvency processes
• Support refinancing or sale negotiations and manage insolvency tasks such as creditor or inspector meetings, reporting and court reports
• Take part in strategic discussions with clients and stakeholders
• Review and coach associates and senior associates
• Join the Toronto insolvency and restructuring network, attend events and network with lenders and lawyers

Required profile

• Ideally a professional accounting designation such as CPA, and enrollment in the Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional (CIRP) program
• Ability to work independently and in teams on multiple projects, in a fast-paced, time-restricted environment
• Strong customer relationship and business development skills, and adaptability to change
• Commitment to working with diverse people and perspectives

The salary range is $87,700 - $137,700, with possible variable incentive pay. Occasional travel is required.
