About the role

Join a collaborative team of healthcare professionals at Kootenay Lake Hospital, delivering high‑quality care to young patients in Nelson, BC. You will work alongside skilled nurses and specialists in neonatology, cardiology, oncology and more, contributing to multidisciplinary treatment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including inpatient and outpatient services.
• Participate in medical rounds, case conferences and interdisciplinary meetings to develop treatment strategies.
• Mentor medical students, residents and aspiring pediatricians, fostering a culture of compassion and excellence.

• Willingness to work full‑time or part‑time, supporting work‑life balance.

What we offer

• Estimated gross annual income of $250,000–$400,000 (fee‑for‑service) plus MOCAP level 1.
• Monthly physician overhead share of approximately $3,500.
• Retention premium of 11.34% and a flat retention fee of $17,573.
• Relocation funding: $9,000 (within BC), $12,000 (within Canada), $15,000 (outside Canada).
• Recruitment incentive of $15,000.
• CME support through RCME and Doctors of BC funds.
• Additional rural incentives subject to change.
