About the role

Linen Chest is hiring a part-time and seasonal cashier for its Ottawa East store. As cashier, you are often the last person customers meet before leaving, so your welcome, smile and attention to detail matter. You will process transactions accurately while giving every customer a pleasant, efficient and personalized experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome customers with enthusiasm and provide friendly, courteous service
• Process transactions quickly and accurately
• Handle cash, credit/debit cards and other forms of payment
• Answer customer questions and direct them to the right products or services
• Process returns, exchanges and adjustments in line with company policy
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized and welcoming
• Work with team members to ensure a smooth customer experience
• Follow cash-handling procedures, company policies and loss-prevention standards
