Customer Experience Representative

About the role

Indigo is hiring a seasonal Customer Experience Representative in Ottawa. The role is part-time and requires at least 4 days of availability, including 1 full weekend day and 1 closing shift from Monday to Friday, with 6am start availability requested.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily store operations before opening at 6am
• Run inventory cycle counts, replenish stock, manage product returns, shelve products and process incoming merchandise
• Create a visually appealing store using merchandising standards and a welcoming environment
• Connect with customers on the sales floor, curate product collections for each customer and tell stories through the products
• Keep up with new products, promotions and programs
• Take responsibility for responding to customer feedback and for health and safety on the floor
• Share ideas with leadership on improving the employee and customer experience

Required profile

• Experience in specialty retail or another retail environment preferred but not required
• Adaptability, flexibility and willingness to learn and be exposed to all parts of the store
• Commitment to an exceptional employee and customer experience
• Ability to move around the sales floor for long periods and lift medium to large items up to 40 pounds safely
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight and early morning shifts
• Bilingualism (French/English) is required for all positions in Québec; other languages are an asset
