Operational Risk Manager (VIE)

About the role

Crédit Agricole CIB Canada is looking for an Operational Risk Manager (VIE) based in Montreal. You will support the execution of all Operational Risk Management functions for the Operations business line (OPC) in Canada and assist the Operational Risk Director in the US on their daily activities and projects. The position is a 12-month fixed-term contract starting 1 October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Level 1 controls: work with line management to define them, document them and ensure consistency across the Americas and the US, record them in COSMOSS, monitor their execution and report control weaknesses
• Level 2.2 controls: help execute spot checks under supervision and support control testing
• RCSA: support self-assessment exercises, RCSA documentation, risk mapping, tracking action plans and investigating operational incidents
• Audits: respond to internal and external audits and follow up on recommendations
• Reporting: help draft internal control documentation, collect data for management reports (KRIs and KPIs) and prepare spot checks
• Secondary duties: support stakeholder relationships, internal control documentation and awareness among OPC staff

Required profile

• Under 28 years old
• Master's degree from a university, business school or engineering school, with a specialization in Finance
• Previous experience in risk control is a plus
• Fluent in French and English

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and strong Microsoft Office skills
• Basic understanding of OPC products and the post-trade environment
• Knowledge of VBA, Power BI and Python is a plus
• Analytical, organizational and attention-to-detail skills, good communication and ability to work independently
