Nurse (N2) – Extended Hours Primary Care Clinic

About the role

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a N2‑qualified Nurse to join the Extended Hours Primary Care Clinic (EHPCC) at Victoria General Hospital. This part‑time (0.50 FTE) position provides primary health care services during evening shifts, supporting individuals, families and communities across the lifespan.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑level nursing care in line with primary health‑care principles, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention and chronic disease management.
• Develop, implement and evaluate client health plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members and family physicians.
• Provide health education, clinical interventions and palliative support as needed.
• Coordinate services and refer clients to appropriate community resources to achieve health goals.
• Act as a client navigator, ensuring seamless links to human services and follow‑up care.
• Uphold the WRHA mission, vision and values while applying WHO Alma‑Ata principles and Canadian preventive health guidelines.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (N2) credential with current registration in Manitoba.
• Experience delivering primary care or community health services is preferred.
• Strong commitment to client‑centered, interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Ability to work independently during evening hours and manage a diverse caseload.
