Medical Science Liaison – Neuroscience

About the role

Novartis is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) specialized in neuroscience to build and nurture scientific relationships with healthcare professionals across Canada. The role focuses on delivering scientific insights, supporting research, and aligning external feedback with Novartis’ strategic direction.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a network of peer‑to‑peer scientific relationships with key opinion leaders in neuroscience.
• Provide and discuss scientific data to ensure concepts are understood and gather insights to inform Novartis research.
• Develop and execute engagement plans that prioritize and strategically engage medical experts aligned with business priorities.
• Liaise with external groups to deliver up‑to‑date medical information, including health‑economic data and guideline alignment.
• Collaborate across cross‑functional, matrixed teams, adapting quickly to internal and external stakeholder needs.
• Travel up to 80% of the time within the assigned territory.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Doctorate, PharmD, or MD) with a strong medical/technical background.
• Previous experience as an MSL or in a comparable scientific liaison role.
• Proven ability to develop credible, peer‑to‑peer relationships with medical experts.
• Strong personal integrity, customer focus, and ability to synthesize complex scientific information.
• Familiarity with Canadian reimbursement processes.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Comfort with technology tools and systems used for day‑to‑day tasks.
