Materials Recovery Facility Sorter

About the role
The Sorter works on a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) line, operating a designated work station to sort incoming waste streams. The role is essential for meeting quality and productivity targets while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Operate the assigned work station on a moving conveyor line to sort materials according to quality standards.
- Maintain the work area clean and orderly at all times.
- Clean screens and conveyors, which may require working at heights or in confined spaces using hand tools.
- Perform routine housekeeping tasks as assigned.
- Train and assist crew members when needed.
- Work 8‑hour shifts, either day or evening, in a COR‑certified plant.
- Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Required profile
- Willingness to work day or evening shifts on an 8‑hour schedule.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
- Commitment to follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with peers and supervisors.
