Recycling Auditor

About the role

The Recycling Auditor position is a permanent, full‑time role based in Brampton, reporting to the Manager, CCS Recycling Operations and supervised by the Supervisor, Compositional Assessment and Team Leads. The role supports the Blue Box Program in Ontario, handling audit samples, sorting, weighing, shipping, and data management on a 3:30 AM – 12:00 AM shift, Monday‑Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Perform compositional assessments of Blue Box Materials by sorting and weighing material types in accordance with O.Reg. 391/21.
• Follow RLG and industry standards, policies, procedures, and health‑safety protocols during assessments.
• Maintain audit equipment to ensure accurate and consistent data collection.
• Enter and analyze BBM composition data as required.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement activities and update Standard Operating Procedures.
• Communicate risks and recommend process changes to the Team Lead and Manager.
• Stand, walk, and lift up to 20 kg while performing duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in waste management or compositional assessment (asset).
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Self‑starter able to work independently and within a team.
• Degree or diploma in Environmental Studies, Engineering, or related field (asset).
