Managing Director – North America

About the role

The Managing Director will lead DLG North America, overseeing strategic, operational and financial performance across Canada, the United States and Mexico. This senior position reports directly to the global DLG network and is responsible for expanding the platform business and positioning DLG as a leading partner for the agri‑food industry in North America.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a long‑term growth strategy, including partnerships, joint ventures and acquisitions.
• Scale existing trade‑fair formats and launch new event platforms tailored to regional market needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry leaders, key accounts, government bodies and associations.
• Take full P&L responsibility, managing budgeting, forecasting and financial performance.
• Lead a high‑performing team, ensuring operational excellence in exhibitions, conferences and business platforms.
• Connect North American stakeholders with global DLG platforms to drive internationalisation.

Required profile

• University degree in business administration, agricultural sciences or a related field.
• Proven senior leadership experience with full business responsibility.
• Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of business development and growth.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel extensively across North America.
