LIMS Data Specialist

About the role

The LIMS Data Specialist will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive and optimise Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) projects, develop data visualisation solutions and support continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Review and write LIMS Proposal Requests, draft Project Change Documents and submit them for Business Analyst review.
• Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and Power BI reports that provide actionable insights for multiple departments.
• Test implemented LIMS changes for accuracy and functionality, and implement EDD Builder protocols to standardise report generation.
• Generate SQL data pulls to support operational improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education in science, computer science or data science.
• 5+ years of experience with laboratory information systems, preferably MaxxLIMS.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
