About the role
Join a supportive, dynamic team delivering community‑based nursing care in the County of Flagstaff. As a Licensed Practical Nurse you will work independently in client homes, providing high‑quality care and supervising Health Care Aides.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, patient‑ and family‑centred nursing care to clients of all ages in the community.
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions, including wound care and palliative care.
- Supervise and mentor Health Care Aides, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop holistic care plans.
- Provide client education and support to achieve health goals.
- Travel to client homes, lift and carry medical supplies, and work in all weather conditions.
Required profile
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nurse education program.
- Active registration (or eligibility) as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Alberta.
- Valid driver’s licence and personal vehicle.
- Strong assessment, organizational, and leadership abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to varying weather and home environments.
