About the role

The Faculty of Law at McGill University seeks a qualified legal professional to lead Focus Week Workshop 3 on Legal Research and Advanced Technologies during the Fall 2026 term. The workshop will explore how emerging tools are reshaping legal research, analysis, and client service.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a four‑day intensive workshop (Monday‑Thursday, 14:35‑17:25) at Chancellor Day Hall.
Facilitate discussions, debates, simulations, and hands‑on exercises on modern legal workflows.
Guide students in critically assessing the opportunities and limitations of advanced legal technologies.
Collaborate with faculty to integrate the workshop into the broader Focus Week curriculum.

Required profile

A first degree in law (LL.B. or equivalent).
Several years of significant legal practice or professional experience in the relevant area.
Experience teaching undergraduate law students in a bilingual (English/French) setting.
Ability to evaluate and communicate the impact of technology on legal practice.
