Legal Counsel – In‑House (Remote, Canada)

About the role

This full‑time Legal Counsel position supports a fast‑growing international digital health organization. Based in Canada and working fully remotely, you will provide practical, solution‑oriented legal advice across multiple business units.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements such as vendor contracts, SaaS arrangements and data‑protection agreements.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance on privacy, data protection, healthcare regulation, intellectual property, IT/AI, procurement, marketing and employment matters.
• Respond to client due‑diligence requests, questionnaires and RFPs.
• Support implementation and improvement of legal, compliance, governance, ethics and risk‑management programs.
• Collaborate with product, procurement, compliance and operations teams to ensure legally sound, business‑aligned solutions.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with a Canadian law society.
• 2‑5 years post‑call experience, preferably with commercial law, privacy or healthcare exposure.
• Proven experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial agreements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingualism in French and English required.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, global environment.
