Laboratory Technician (Phlebotomy)

About the role

Dynacare is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join its Winnipeg Clinic LHSC team. In this full‑time permanent position you will collect high‑quality blood and other specimens, perform routine laboratory tests, and contribute to a positive patient experience aligned with the company’s mission and values.

Key responsibilities

• Obtain venous and capillary blood specimens, as well as urine and other routine collections.
• Perform standard laboratory procedures and prepare specimens for analysis.
• Follow all safety and infectious‑material handling guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of test and control results.
• Prepare monthly quality‑control statistical reports.
• Conduct routine equipment maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
• Adhere to all safety precautions and complete any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Graduate of a Laboratory Technician program or equivalent experience.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work independently when needed.
