Laboratory Analyst (Level 1)

About the role

The Analyst 1 will generate high‑quality analytical data in a fast‑paced laboratory, following established SOPs and ISO 17025 requirements. The role combines sample preparation, instrument operation, and quality‑control activities while supporting continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review LIMS summary reports to plan daily work and organize sample queues.
• Perform sample preparation, basic testing, and operate GC/LC, automated sequencers, and liquid‑handling systems.
• Prepare standards and reagents, monitor inventory, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, document deviations, and initiate corrective actions.
• Support method development, validation, and process‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary education (B.Sc. preferred) or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Demonstrated success in a laboratory analyst role with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow SOPs, work independently and within a team, and adapt to changing priorities.
