Journeyperson Electrician / Team Lead

About the role

Wildstone Construction is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to lead its electrical crews on commercial construction projects across British Columbia, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. The role combines hands‑on wiring work with supervision, safety oversight and coordination with mechanical/HVAC teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct electrical crews on‑site, ensuring work meets specifications and code requirements.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce regulatory compliance.
• Install and terminate cable trays, Teck cable, switchgear, MCCs, generators, transformers and control panels.
• Perform underground and slab conduit, grounding and building wiring (EMT, Rigid, PVC, Teck).
• Read and apply cable schedules, control wiring diagrams and PLC I/O drawings.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule.

Required profile

• FSR‑Certified Red Seal Journeyperson Electrician with experience on ICI sites.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code and BC Hydro, Fortis and ATCO standards.
• Willingness to travel and work 21/7 rotations with 10‑hour days.
• Valid driver’s licence; trailer‑towing experience is an asset.
• Physical ability to meet the demands of field work.

Required skills

• Cable‑tray and Teck‑cable installation.
• Switchgear, MCC, generator and transformer installation.
• PLC and instrumentation wiring, termination and I/O drawing interpretation.
• Underground and slab conduit, grounding, and building wiring (EMT, Rigid, PVC, Teck).
• Power distribution equipment, motor control centers, VFDs and HVAC control wiring.
• Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office 365.
