IT SR&ED Manager (Bilingual FR/EN)

About the role

PwC Canada is looking for a bilingual (French and English) manager for its IT SR&ED tax practice in Montreal. The role helps clients identify and maximize federal and state tax credits and incentives, with a focus on SR&ED claims in Canada and R&D tax credit claims in the US. It is a newly created position.

Key responsibilities

• Help prepare clients' tax incentive claims, including SR&ED claims (Canada) and R&D tax credit claims (US)
• Deliver practical solutions to optimize clients' returns from SR&ED and other government incentives
• Take part in SR&ED reviews and attend meetings with clients
• Manage a portfolio of clients and contribute to financial management of clients, reporting to the Director and above
• Manage and deliver large projects and take part in business development
• Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges and grow the team's technical expertise

Required profile

• 5 years of proven experience in computer science, IT or technical management
• Degree or education in a STEM field or related discipline
• Experience as a manager or in a similar role in a consulting firm
• Fluency in English and French

Required skills

• Broad knowledge of current development technologies: web development, XML, Java, JavaScript, C#, databases, open source, mobile apps
• Prior experience with the SR&ED tax credit program, including preparing and supporting IT or software-based claims
• Strong client-service orientation and excellent written and oral communication skills

The salary range is $87,700 - $137,700, depending on skills, experience, qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also participate in variable incentive pay programs. The role is offered in a hybrid environment.
