IT Inventory Technician – 3-Month Contract

About the role

The IT Inventory Technician provides on‑site support for Astreya’s global user base, handling inventory, asset management, and help‑desk duties for conference rooms and workstations. This three‑month fixed‑term role ensures that over 70,000 staff have reliable access to hardware and audiovisual equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily on‑site inventory checks, asset tracking, and e‑recycling.
• Maintain conference‑room equipment, conduct preventative maintenance, and ensure audio‑visual quality.
• Deploy, recover, and image laptops and desktops for end‑users.
• Provide face‑to‑face technical assistance, from accessory setup to workstation configuration.
• Log work and track Service Level Agreements using ticketing systems.
• Use inventory data‑management software to keep records accurate.
• Collaborate with other technicians and clients to install hardware and resolve computer issues.
• Support large‑scale global projects as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with 0‑2 years of related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and professional demeanor.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Physical ability to lift equipment and be present on‑site during client working hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ticketing systems.
• Experience using inventory management software.
• Basic knowledge of hardware installation and audio‑visual troubleshooting.
