IT Analyst

About the role

iA Financial Group is hiring an IT Analyst in Montreal to support business partners by analysing their needs and delivering and evolving technology solutions for corporate sectors. The analyst also contributes to compliance activities, IT asset monitoring and the execution of initiatives under their responsibility, working closely with business partners and IT teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support business partners in clarifying, prioritising and validating their needs, run analysis workshops and document processes, business rules and functional requirements
• Assess the business, functional, operational and technological impact of proposed changes and turn needs into clear requirements for design and delivery teams
• Develop analyses, recommendations and solution options to support decision-making
• Work with project managers, designers and architects to deliver initiatives
• Define and coordinate functional validation and user acceptance testing, support users during testing and follow up on defects and corrective actions
• Maintain clear, structured and up-to-date functional documentation
• Follow up commitments, action plans, audits and compliance requirements, and contribute to monitoring IT recovery plans and business continuity exercises
• Support the evolution of IT assets, including risks, obsolescence, controls and roadmaps, and prepare the reports and indicators on progress and issues

Required profile

• Significant experience in IT analysis or business analysis, with autonomy, rigor, organisation and proactivity
• Analytical, synthesis, writing and communication skills, and experience in requirements analysis, documentation and functional validation
• Ability to coordinate several initiatives at once and influence stakeholders without direct authority
• Education in information technology, administration, business analysis or a related field
• Knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry is an asset
• Experience in IT asset management, disaster recovery, obsolescence management or portfolio management is an asset
• Advanced French and intermediate English

Required skills

• Excel, Power BI or similar tools for analysis and monitoring reports (an asset)
