iOS Developer

About the role

Scotiabank’s Digital Banking Unit is looking for an iOS Developer to help build and enhance its flagship mobile banking app used by millions of customers across Canada. You will join a collaborative, high‑performing team focused on delivering secure, performant, and user‑centric digital experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Work with product owners and analysts to refine requirements in JIRA and Confluence, review pull requests and implement documented designs.
• Develop high‑quality iOS code using Swift 5, SwiftUI, UIKit and Auto Layout, ensuring adherence to coding conventions and best practices.
• Collaborate with iOS, Android and backend developers to deliver new features and incremental improvements.
• Consume RESTful APIs and perform code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.
• Maintain project architecture, balance user experience, performance and security, and ensure compliance with banking regulations and risk policies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong understanding of iOS design best practices and Apple Human Interface Guidelines.
• Ability to work in a large‑scale, enterprise environment and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Commitment to a customer‑focused culture and inclusive teamwork.
