Investment Committee Member – Remote (Canada)

About the role

The Investment Committee Member provides independent expertise to a national organization with a public‑interest mandate, overseeing capital investments that support housing outcomes across Canada. The role is fully remote, with meetings held virtually on a bi‑monthly basis.

Key responsibilities

• Review complex investment opportunities, including risk assessments, financing structures and portfolio implications.
• Offer objective advice on strategic matters to ensure disciplined decision‑making and responsible capital allocation.
• Collaborate with senior professionals in investment, finance, real estate and governance functions.
• Participate in virtual committee meetings, typically held twice a month.
• Maintain a focus on long‑term community benefit while upholding strong financial discipline.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in real‑estate investment, institutional investing, commercial lending, credit adjudication, risk management, private‑capital or portfolio management.
• Proven ability to operate in high‑pressure environments and make sound decisions quickly.
• Recognised for prudent judgment, analytical rigor and the capacity to evaluate complex opportunities.
• Located anywhere in Canada and able to attend virtual meetings.
