Investment Banking Analyst – Toronto

About the role

The Investment Banking Analyst will join Morgan Stanley’s Canada Investment Banking team in Toronto, supporting a broad range of corporate clients across multiple industries. The analyst will work on complex transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, and related advisory assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior bankers in the execution of M&A, IPO, and financing transactions.
• Prepare financial models, valuation analyses, and presentation materials for client meetings.
• Conduct industry and market research to support deal sourcing and strategic recommendations.
• Coordinate with product groups, legal, and other internal teams to ensure seamless transaction execution.
• Maintain data rooms, track deal progress, and manage documentation.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in investment banking, capital markets, or related finance roles.
• Demonstrated experience working on M&A and equity/debt financing transactions.
• Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Motivated, self‑starter with a collaborative team attitude.
