Accounting Manager – Canada Tax

About the role

Bestax is seeking an Accounting Manager specialized in Canadian tax to support its international client base. You will handle corporate and personal tax filings, ensure compliance, and contribute to tax planning for diverse businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns.
• Assist with GST/HST, payroll tax filings and other routine submissions.
• Support basic tax planning to reduce liabilities.
• Stay updated on Canadian tax regulations and review financial data for accurate calculations.
• Handle tax notices and communicate with authorities as needed.
• Maintain bookkeeping records, prepare financial reports and coordinate tasks with the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4‑5 years of experience in Canadian taxation and accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations and compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare and TaxCycle (or similar software).
• Experience with T1, T2, GST/HST and payroll tax filings.
