Investment Banking Analyst – Generalist

About the role
Jefferies is opening a new position for an Investment Banking Analyst in its newly formed Toronto team. The analyst will work alongside senior bankers on a variety of advisory and capital‑markets transactions across multiple industries.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of M&A and advisory transactions, as well as equity and debt financings.
- Prepare and deliver client presentations.
- Analyze business plans and value companies using a variety of methodologies.
- Draft offering memoranda, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, lender presentations, and prospectuses.
- Participate in due‑diligence and drafting sessions.
- Prepare internal deal memos and support delivery to clients.
- Attend client meetings and contribute to building and maintaining client relationships.
Required profile
- 1+ years of investment banking experience.
- Strong technical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and projects simultaneously.
- Resourceful self‑starter, able to work autonomously and as a team player.
