Internal Audit Senior Associate

About the role

PwC Canada is hiring an Internal Audit Senior Associate in Toronto. As a risk management generalist, you will advise clients on internal audit, risk, controls and regulatory matters, working with teams across a wide range of specialist areas. The role sits within the Conduct and Compliance line of service and offers exposure to GenAI and data analytics tools.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert in assurance and advisory services covering internal audit, governance and internal controls (SOX/NI 52-109), enterprise risk management, third-party relationships and regulatory compliance
• Analyse and assess clients' business processes and systems, including GenAI, to help management address risks, controls and improvement opportunities
• Use GenAI and data analytics (Alteryx) to automate tasks and test steps
• Anticipate stakeholder needs and propose solutions early
• Build trusted client relationships, generate new business and develop proposals and oversee presentations
• Navigate global teams, develop staff, oversee learning and development and performance management, and coach at all levels

Required profile

• Experience managing internal auditing and regulatory compliance (SOX/NI 52-109) in mining, retail, manufacturing or utilities
• Experience overseeing multiple client engagements and local or national technical or industry training
• Experience improving delivery, quality and efficiency
• Minimum Bachelor's degree
• Consulting/advisory experience and experience with RFPs
• Preferred: CA, CPA, CIA or CISA designations

Required skills

• All phases of the internal audit life cycle, including planning, execution, reporting and performance management
• Experience with Alteryx and GenAI tools

The salary range is $67,400 - $112,300, based on skills, experience, qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also participate in variable incentive pay programs.
