Intermediate Cloud Infrastructure DevOps

About the role

Optable is seeking an Intermediate Cloud Infrastructure DevOps professional to join its fast‑growing team in Montreal. You will help design, build, and maintain the cloud platform that powers modern digital advertising, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to deliver business solutions efficiently and reliably.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Deploy and manage applications using Kubernetes and Helm charts.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform.
• Write automation tools and utilities in Golang to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure high availability.
• Support security best practices and help maintain compliance standards.
• Create and update documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability, or related infrastructure roles.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Self‑starter with a results‑oriented approach.

Required skills

• Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting)
• Helm for managing Kubernetes applications
• Terraform for infrastructure as code
• Experience with GCP or AWS services (compute, storage, networking, managed services)
• Scripting/automation with Bash, Makefiles, and container image creation
• Golang programming for automation tools
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools
• Networking concepts, load balancing, and service‑mesh technologies
