Intake Navigator

About the role

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba is seeking a full‑time Intake Navigator for its Complaints and Investigations Department. This new position supports complainants by clarifying concerns, guiding them through CPSM processes, and facilitating informal resolutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist complainants in articulating concerns and provide information on CPSM processes.
• Identify external resources when CPSM processes are not suitable.
• Review medical records where applicable and help registrants respond to concerns.
• Facilitate communication between complainants and registrants to achieve informal resolution.
• Prepare written reports at the close of informal resolution and support process improvements.

Required profile

• Regulated health professional eligible for registration with a college.
• At least 5 years of experience handling patient complaints in a healthcare setting.
• Excellent public communication skills and cultural sensitivity.
• Knowledge of trauma‑informed communication and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Proficient with Office 365.
• Strong keyboarding skills.
• Ability to review clinical information and produce concise summaries.
