Institutional Investment Sales Leader

About the role

Marsh is looking for an Institutional Investment Sales Leader to join its Institutional Investments Sales team in Toronto. As the Institutional Investments Sales Leader for Ontario, you will advance the firm's market presence by delivering investment solutions tailored to institutional clients, leading client engagement and partnering with investment consulting teams. The role is hybrid, with at least three days a week spent in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow the institutional investment business in Ontario.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with pension plans, endowments and other institutional investors.
• Partner with investment consulting and product teams to design and deliver customized investment strategies.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand the client footprint.
• Represent Marsh at industry forums and stay up to date on market trends and regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in institutional investment sales, business development or related roles.
• Demonstrated success in institutional investment sales or business development in the Canadian market.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or a related field; advanced degree or professional designation (CFA, CAIA, CFP) preferred.
• Willingness to travel within Ontario as required.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of institutional investment products, asset classes and client needs.
• Ability to manage complex sales cycles and close large institutional mandates.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian pension plans, endowments, foundations and the regulatory environment.
• Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
