Human Resources Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Sr. HR Manager for North America and manages the full employee lifecycle in Canada. This position focuses on employee relations, compliance, and supporting core HR operations in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers on employee relations matters, including investigations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial employment standards and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of province‑specific regulations.
• Support policy creation, audits, reporting, and internal compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with payroll and benefits teams to ensure accurate processing and act as a primary point of contact for employee questions.
• Assist with immigration processes in partnership with external counsel.
• Maintain data accuracy in HR systems and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Provide administrative support for onboarding, job changes, offboarding, and HR training initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of HR Generalist experience with a strong focus on employee relations and compliance.
• Experience supporting multiple Canadian provinces is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English and French.
• High attention to detail, strong judgment, and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.
