Human Resources Business Partner – Montreal

About the role

Helios Software Group is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support multiple portfolio companies in Montreal. The role combines hands‑on HR execution with strategic partnership, guiding organizations through recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and post‑acquisition integration.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary HR point of contact for assigned companies, advising leadership on people strategy.
• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for critical positions, ensuring speed, quality, and a positive candidate experience.
• Manage employee‑relations matters end‑to‑end, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations.
• Own performance review cycles, talent planning, and manager coaching to retain top talent.
• Oversee core HR operations such as onboarding, off‑boarding, policy implementation, employee records, and HRIS data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with employment standards and internal policies across jurisdictions, escalating risks when needed.
• Drive HR integration initiatives after acquisitions, supporting change management, process alignment, and smooth team transitions.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of progressive HR experience (HR Generalist, HRBP, or blended talent‑HR role).
• Strong execution mindset with ability to take ownership, move quickly, and follow through.
• Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast‑changing environments and supporting leaders through change.
• Excellent judgment and documentation skills for sensitive employee‑relations matters.
