Hospitality Assistant

About the role

The Hospitality Assistant supports the Macdonald Campus Faculty Club at Tadja Hall by delivering high‑quality food and beverage service to guests and members. This part‑time, fixed‑term position involves both front‑of‑house duties and basic back‑of‑house support.

Key responsibilities

• Set up tables in the dining room and conference room.
• Take food orders from guests and provide menu information.
• Serve water, bread, food, and beverages to tables.
• Act as liaison between guests and kitchen staff.
• Perform cleaning duties including dishes, fridges, counters, coffee equipment, laundering tablecloths, linen, towels, and cleaning floors and washrooms.
• Assist the supervisor with restocking inventory in the kitchen and fridges.
• Take reservations over the phone.

Required profile

• High School Diploma.
• At least one year of relevant hospitality experience (preferred).
• Authorization to work in Canada and willingness to work in Quebec.
• English proficiency assessed at level 3 (qualifier).

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $18.00 (AMUSE B).
• Part‑time schedule, approximately 25 hours per week.
• Fixed‑term contract from 10 September 2026 to 24 December 2026.
