Housekeeping Associate

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeping Associate to join our team at the new Microtel Inn & Suites in Kitimat, BC. In this part‑time, permanent position you will ensure guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standards, contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms, corridors, and storage areas according to checklists and company standards.
• Restock guest supplies, linens, and advertising materials in rooms and bathrooms.
• Maintain cleaning carts, report lost‑and‑found items, and secure room keys.
• Use cleaning agents and equipment safely, following health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Perform deep‑cleaning tasks and report any maintenance issues.
• Assist teammates to keep work areas orderly and support overall hotel cleanliness.

Required profile

• Flexible availability for early‑morning, late‑evening shifts and weekends.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning checklists.
• Team‑oriented attitude and good communication with guests and staff.

Required skills

• Knowledge of proper use and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to operate standard housekeeping equipment safely.
