Home Health Care Worker – Full‑time Permanent

About the role

Lee Family is seeking a compassionate Home Health Care Worker to provide in‑home support to elderly clients and persons with disabilities in Markham. This permanent, full‑time position involves personal care, companionship, and light housekeeping in the client’s residence. Optional live‑in accommodation may be offered at no charge, though it is not a condition of employment.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing and hygiene assistance.
• Assist clients with regular exercise such as walking.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals while respecting dietary requirements.
• Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe environment.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation.
• Monitor client health status and report any changes to family or healthcare professionals.
• Remind clients about medication schedules and support adherence.

Required profile

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lb) and pass a criminal record check.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, patience, and client‑focused attitude.
• Flexibility, initiative, and organized approach to adapt to client needs.
• Experience in home care is an asset.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Commitment to work in a non‑smoking environment.
