Home Care Attendant for Persons with Disabilities

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Home Care Attendant to provide personalized support to individuals with disabilities in a private residence. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients with bathing, personal hygiene, and toileting.
• Support regular exercise routines, including walking and pool activities.
• Prepare, serve, and monitor nutritious meals; handle cooking and food shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and cleaning duties.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Transport clients and family members to appointments and outings.
• Assist children with homework, discipline, and developmental programs.
• Develop individualized care plans and communicate progress to parents.

Required profile

• Other trades certificate or diploma, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with children and adults who have intellectual, physical, or behavioral disabilities.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Valid driver’s licence and clean criminal record check.
• Ability to lift 45‑60 kg, bend, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong punctuality, reliability, and client‑focused attitude.
