Head of CMHC Mortgage Servicing

About the role

We are seeking a senior professional to lead the creation and growth of a dedicated CMHC mortgage servicing team in Toronto. This role offers the chance to shape a new department, drive innovation, and ensure top‑tier service for commercial CMHC‑insured mortgages.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead a new team focused on CMHC‑insured mortgage servicing.
• Provide expert guidance on CMHC mortgage administration processes and best practices.
• Design and implement efficient servicing solutions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Ensure full compliance with CMHC and industry regulations.
• Develop training programs to enhance team expertise.
• Mentor a high‑performing team and foster a collaborative culture.
• Oversee a growing portfolio of commercial CMHC‑insured mortgages, managing payments, escrow, and investor reporting.
• Identify and mitigate portfolio risks while maintaining strong borrower and investor relationships.
• Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership.
• Continuously refine processes to improve efficiency and customer experience.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in mortgage administration with a focus on process improvement and compliance.
• Deep expertise in commercial real‑estate mortgage regulations, policies, and industry standards.
• Proven ability to develop and optimise workflow processes.
• Professional, trustworthy, and capable of building strong internal and external relationships.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
