Field Heavy Equipment Service Technician

About the role

Brandt is looking for a Field Heavy Equipment Service Technician to join our Saskatoon Construction & Forestry team. The role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of construction and forestry equipment and attachments, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate the condition of heavy‑duty equipment, diagnose issues, and perform disassembly and assembly.
• Order and manage parts using parts catalogues and coordinate with parts personnel.
• Use hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems such as John Deere Service Advisor to complete repairs.
• Document all work orders accurately, including actions taken, time spent, and machine information.
• Conduct road tests and verify attachment operation after service.
• Continuously assess hazards and adhere to safety standards throughout all tasks.

Required profile

• Experience working on construction or forestry heavy equipment.
• Ability to safely handle secondary materials and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation and hazard assessment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools.
• Proficiency with power tools.
• Familiarity with John Deere Service Advisor software.
• Use of parts catalogues for parts identification and ordering.
