Experienced Exploration Drill Assistant

About the role

Geotech Drilling, a member of the ConeTec Group, is looking for an Experienced Exploration Drill Assistant to join its team in Prince George. The role supports drilling operations on exploration projects, working in remote locations and varied weather conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials to keep operations running smoothly.
• Handle drill rods, casing, core tubes and core samples safely.
• Maintain inventory levels of materials, supplies and tooling for the rig and support vehicles.
• Assist the driller, client and other team members as needed.
• Perform regular lifts of 50‑90 lb in a safe manner.
• Support helicopter‑based operations when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the drilling industry.
• Experience with helicopter‑supported drilling projects.
• Valid Class 5 or Class 7(N) driver’s licence.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair small mechanical equipment.
• Willingness to work in remote field sites for extended periods.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug & alcohol test and project‑specific safety courses.
