Experienced Diamond Driller – Surface Exploration

About the role

Geotech Drilling, a member of the ConeTec Group, is seeking an experienced Diamond Driller for surface exploration projects in western Canada. You will join a dynamic team operating state‑of‑the‑art drilling equipment and contribute to high‑quality geotechnical investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Extract core samples using diamond core drills.
• Monitor pressure gauges, feed/weight indicators and assess return material characteristics.
• Apply project‑specific sampling techniques and maintain accurate records.
• Operate and troubleshoot drill rigs, trucks, pumps, heaters, compressors and mud recirculation systems.
• Supervise the Drill Assistant and crew to ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure equipment, supplies and tooling are organized and maintained.

Required profile

• Valid Class 5 or Class 7 driver’s licence.
• Minimum five years of experience in surface exploration drilling.
• Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and minor equipment repairs.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug and alcohol test.
