Equity Research Analyst – Toronto

About the role

The Equity Research Analyst will join Fidelity Canada’s investment management team, conducting fundamental research on a portfolio of 20‑25 Canadian equities. Working in a hybrid environment, the analyst will generate investment ideas that support mutual funds and institutional strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform fundamental equity research on a coverage universe of 20‑25 stocks.
• Meet with company management, industry experts and sell‑side analysts to gather insights.
• Develop detailed financial projections and valuation models for assigned companies.
• Generate investment ideas and recommendations for Fidelity Canada’s mutual funds and institutional strategies.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers and other research professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–10 years of relevant equity research or investment analysis experience.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated academic success and motivation to uncover investment opportunities.
• Eligibility to work in Canada.
