Engineer-in-Training New Graduate Program – Oil Sands (June 2027)

About the role

Join Cenovus’s New Grad Program as an Engineer‑in‑Training and gain three years of rotational experience across its oil‑sands operations and corporate sites. The program starts in June 2027 and includes three 12‑month assignments in areas such as development, field, drilling, integrity, maintenance, process, production, project, and reservoir engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Complete a 12‑month rotation in one of Cenovus’s oil‑sands sites (Foster Creek, Christina Lake, Sunrise) or in Calgary.
• Perform engineering tasks aligned with the assigned business unit, which may include design, analysis, field support, and project coordination.
• Participate in training, mentorship, and networking activities to build a broad understanding of the company’s core business.
• Contribute to safety, reliability, and operational excellence initiatives during each rotation.

Required profile

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Available to start in June 2027.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical, Chemical/Process, or Petroleum Engineering obtained by 31 May 2027 and completed within the last two years.
• Eligibility to register for an Engineer‑in‑Training designation.
• Less than two years of professional engineering experience (excluding student projects).
