Emergency Physician (Full‑time)

About the role

The Columbia Emergency Physicians Association is seeking full‑time Emergency Physicians to staff Royal Columbian Hospital and Eagle Ridge Hospital in the Fraser Health region. You will provide high‑acuity emergency care, teach residents and medical students, and contribute to research and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency care across two busy tertiary hospitals.
• Teach and supervise UBC residents and medical students during clinical shifts.
• Participate in research, quality improvement, and simulation projects.
• Maintain a faculty appointment in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
• Support departmental leadership, education, and geriatric emergency initiatives.

Required profile

• CCFP(EM) or FRCPC(EM) certification; eligibility for BC licensure.
• PALS or APLS certification within the past five years.
• ABEM certification (eligible).
• Experience in a high‑volume, high‑acuity Emergency Department, preferably with trauma and pediatric exposure.
• ATLS or comparable trauma certification strongly recommended.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion principles.
