About the role

Join the collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake. Our 24/7 emergency department sees roughly 22,000 visits annually, offering a diverse case mix and numerous procedural opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to a high‑volume patient population.
• Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, general surgery, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
• Participate in leadership development programs such as Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program.
• Contribute to the ongoing CMH redevelopment project, preparing for expanded facilities.

Required profile

• Current CCFP, CCFP (Emergency Medicine) or FRCPC in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility to practice in British Columbia.
• Open to new Canadian graduates and internationally trained physicians; mentorship will be provided.
