Emergency Medicine Physician – Williams Lake, BC

About the role

Join a collegial emergency medicine team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. You will work in a 24/7 emergency department that sees roughly 22,000 visits each year, offering a diverse case mix and many procedural opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients of all ages.
• Collaborate with specialists in internal medicine, obstetrics & gynecology, general surgery, pediatrics, and psychiatry.
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents through the UBC Faculty of Medicine’s rural teaching program.
• Participate in leadership development initiatives such as Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program.

Required profile

• Current CCFP, CCFP (EM) or FRCPC certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Eligibility for licensure in British Columbia.
• Emergency experience is an asset, but mentorship is available for new Canadian graduates and international medical graduates.
