Emergency Medicine Physician – Kamloops

About the role
The Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops is seeking emergency medicine physicians to join a dynamic 32‑person team. The position offers both full‑time and part‑time options, with a focus on delivering high‑quality emergency and trauma care in a teaching hospital serving a 250,000‑person catchment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide emergency department coverage under an APP contract.
- Lead trauma cases as part of the MOCAP Trauma Team Leader program.
- Work approximately 14 shifts per month, balancing clinical duties with teaching.
- Participate in monthly journal clubs, quality and trauma rounds, and supervise medical students and residents.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists across cardiology, neurology, surgery and other services.
Required profile
- Board‑certified or eligible emergency medicine physician.
- Willingness to work shift‑based schedules, full‑time or part‑time.
- Commitment to collegial teamwork and continuous learning.
- Interest in an active outdoor lifestyle in Kamloops.
