Emergency Medicine Physician – Fraser Canyon Hospital

About the role

The Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a full‑time and/or part‑time physician (CCFP with or without additional EM training) to provide 24/7 emergency care at Fraser Canyon Hospital, a 16‑bed community facility located two hours east of Vancouver.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency stabilization, triage and acute care for local residents and travelers on major highways.
• Provide round‑the‑clock coverage in a rural, geographically isolated setting.
• Collaborate with nursing and allied health staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and support hospice services as needed.

Required profile

• FRCPC (Emergency Medicine), CCFP‑EM, or ABEM certification.
• Eligibility for provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC); CPSBC USA‑certified registration acceptable.
• Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications.
• Ability to obtain a full CPSBC licence.
